Tegaderm Hydrogel Wound Filler - is a sterile, preservative-free solution, specially formulated to pack wounds and provide moisture to dry wounds, keeping them in a moist environment that improves healing and helps prevent desiccation of the wound.
Tegaderm Hydrogel - is indicated as a primary dressing for low-bleeding, minimal-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, superficial partial-thickness burns, skin tears, and wound abrasions who have dry sores.
How to use
Tegaderm Hydrogel - can be applied to sterile gauze before applying it to the wound. It can be used on infected wounds only under the care of a healthcare professional.
- Clean the wound and surrounding skin before applying.
- Apply enough Tegaderm Hydrogel to the wound to cover the base of the wound and any necrotic tissue without overlapping the surrounding skin.
- Apply an appropriate layer to help manage wound drainage and keep the wound moist.
Change the dressing as needed. The frequency of change will depend on factors such as the type of wound and the volume of drainage. At the time of dressing change, rinse the remainder with wound cleansing gel or sterile normal saline if necessary. If the dressing adheres to the wound surface, use a wound cleanser or sterile saline solution to allow it to soften for gentle removal.
